SuperLight Photonics is paving the way for sustainable innovation in photonics. The company reaffirmed its strategic roadmap, cementing its position as a key player in high-sensitivity and energy-efficient photonic integrated circuits.

SuperLight Photonics unveils next era of wideband laser innovation at CES 2025

As the photonics market surges, PICs - also known as Photonic Integrated Circuits or Photonic Chips -are unlocking new potential by overcoming the limitations of traditional semiconductor technology. SuperLight Photonics is at the center of this industry revolution with advanced solutions that enable the development of energy-efficient, handheld, battery-operated, and robust imaging devices with broad potential across industries and applications.

At the forefront of these emerging applications is Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and industrial process control in semiconductor manufacturing, advanced PCB, and layered composite inspection. The company’s PIC portfolio delivers unmatched performance while drastically reducing energy consumption, offering sustainable solutions for high-impact use cases.

“Integrated photonics are becoming the backbone of next-generation technologies, particularly in applications where portability and energy efficiency are critical,” said Cees Links, CEO of SuperLight Photonics. “Our innovative product portfolio offers 4 orders of magnitudes lower noise, significantly improving the overall system sensitivity, enabling operation at shot-noise level with drastically reduced power requirements. The combination of low noise, low power, and wide bandwidth brings the performance and of inspection systems as used for industrial testing and process monitoring to new levels, while significantly increasing the throughput. This is in particular interesting for wafer testing or assembly line inspection.”

SuperLight Photonics will showcase its innovations at the Dutch Pavilion in CES Eureka Park, aligning with the event’s core theme of groundbreaking innovation.

Visitors to Venetian Expo, Hall G - Booth 62100, can explore how SuperLight Photonics is redefining the future of photonics.

Attendees are invited to meet with the SuperLight team to discuss tailored solutions and discover how the company’s unique PIC technology can address specific application requirements.
